LinRun - The path locating program

UPDATE: LinRun v2.1.0 for both Linux and Windows OS.

LinRun is a desktop application for locating path within the current desktop environment. It can also handle URL and do open file with default program. Entered paths are automatically saved and retrieved next time you run app. 

Uses of this app:

1. This is helpful  if you have many working folders of your own different tasks and you want to keep them and access later.

2. In some  desktop environments, the built-in file explorer has no file-address bar to input path in order go to far specific folder as quickly as possible, so this app is resolver for that issues.

3. You can directly open URL with default browser or open file with default program if that file type is associated with program to view or edit.

4. Dynamically keeping path entries for later access. You can also lock history to avoid modification or deletion by disabling certain tabs you want.

Now app has 6 tabs for each to keep up to 10 history entries. So app can now handle up to 60 entries. You can now click Jump-to button (or hold Alt+J)  located after History button, this enables you to jump to specific entry if tab has two or more history entries. 

Open path with default file explorer/browser or open file with default file opener or viewer. Just enter path in input box and click "go", also you can press Enter. The program works like Windows Run-box so it is not search utility rather it locates path from input. The first version I created for Linux for my own use then I created for Windows with the same name LinRun (although LinRun I meant Linux-Run box). To see history of last input paths click history button. You can download for both Windows and Linux.

HOW TO INPUT PATH:

You can paste copied path into app input box easily with Ctrl+V or you can drag and drop folder into app input box so as to input its path more easily or you can even type path manually.

DON'T BE CONFUSED WITH THESE WAYS OF DELETION:

1. From menu  "Edit/Delete":     

This deals with only with single entry (for current tab only) which is currently shown in input box. If you tick "pd" checkbox, then entry will be  deleted permanently but other histories will still be present. If you don't tick "pd" only text in field will be cleared.

2. By pressing "F2" function key:

This will permanently erase all data from current tab, but you can choose to erase for all tabs once provided tab is not disabled. Use first option if you just want to clear input field safely .   Do this second option with care and real intention!

NOTE: In any way, history of disabled tab will not be  affected. So if you want to erase everything, first enable all tabs.
